One to one, person-centred therapy from a lovely space near Brighton's Preston Park, or remotely.
Our Space Therapy is located near Preston Park, but I can also offer sessions in other spaces across Brighton & Hove.
My working days and hours are flexible, so I can find a time and a place that suits you best. I currently have availability for new clients in person, by phone and online.
Sessions are £50. I hold a limited amount of concessions for those who might find the cost a barrier, so please mention if this applies to you.
I'm a person-centred therapist working in Brighton and Hove, who believes in the transformative potential of therapy, that every client is unique and that the power of a good therapeutic relationship can move mountains for anyone. I am a registered member of the BACP, whose ethical standards I adhere to.
As your therapist, I will seek to really understand the uniqueness of you and your perspective, feelings and experience. I will offer you a space to explore these and to feel safe, warm, accepted and deeply valued. I will believe in your ability to solve problems, be creative, heal and grow and will work with you as your supportive cheerleader.
You will bring yourself, just as you are…with your increasing self awareness and compassion, you will explore new ways to engage with life’s ups and downs, with your relationships and to move toward possible desired change or goals.
Client testimonial
I have experience in working across a broad range of ages, backgrounds and life struggles. If I don't feel that I am able to offer the support you need, I can refer you to colleagues who would be better placed to do this.
I have some particular interests in transitions, women's experiences, feminism & menopause, privilege, existential issues, older people, grief/bereavement/loss, family/parenting and relationships, boarding school, alternative education, sobriety (or sober curiosity!), freelance and creative work.
Alongside one-to-one therapy, I offer group work around specific themes.
Our first session will be free and we will discuss what you might be looking for in therapy, any questions you may have and whatever else you choose to bring. It will last for up to 50 minutes and be over the phone or online.
If you would like to chat, find out more about each other and explore how therapy might help you, please get in touch. My number is 07707317451, you can call or WhatsApp me, or fill in the form below to send me an email.
I had sessions with Sophie during one of the most difficult periods of my life and she offered a safe space where I could talk openly about anything that came up. I never felt judged or pushed in any direction and was free to explore many tangents, all while Sophie supported my sometimes chaotic thinking with a calm and thoughtful presence. Sophie helped me find clarity during a series of tragic events, not by telling me what to do or how to reconstruct my thinking, but by encouraging me to understand what I needed and why certain moments felt the way they did.
I would leave sessions feeling more centred and clear, sometimes with sad feelings and sometimes with lighter ones. Sophie made it easier for me to navigate huge life changes layered with tragedy and to keep moving forward.
If you would like to find out more about me and how I work, please get in touch. My number is 07707 317451, you can call or message me via WhatsApp.
